Robotics & AI Lessons – Campers at select sessions will level up their STEM skills with new robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) lessons designed to teach future facing, real world applications of tech. Perfect for curious kids and future engineers!

Refreshed Tech Curriculum – Joined Code Quest before? Welcome back! This year’s lesson content has been completely renewed and rebuilt from the ground up. From Minecraft to coding, digital design, robotics, and more, there’s always something new to learn and enjoy.

New Activities & Excursions – Our new STEM activity time takes students away from their screens and working together on structured projects and crafts. Plus, our full and half-day Tokyo excursions feature a blend of campers’ favorites from past camps and exciting new additions.  

Shared Minecraft World – Code Quest campers work together in a massive shared Minecraft server across sessions! Each and every Code Quest camper will join the same evolving server, working together to build, create, and expand a collaborative project that grows across camp sessions. Campers joining multiple camp sessions can pick up where they left off and watch their incredible creations evolve!

Each Code Quest session is unique, so there’s always something new to learn and experience!

Every day, campers dive into immersive STEM sessions tailored to their age and skill level. Our project-based approach to lessons ensures campers focus on tangible outcomes through engaging hands-on activities. Whether it’s a game, animation, device, or digital artwork, by week’s end, campers will have completed several projects that maximize their sense of accomplishment and motivate them long term to learn more about tech.

Code Quest isn’t all about screen time! Throughout the week, our campers get to explore Tokyo’s world class sights and attractions. With guidance from our incredible team of tech camp counselors, campers will visit kid-friendly spots in Tokyo where they’ll learn through discovery, play, and teamwork.

Our excursion locations are carefully selected based on feedback from our past campers and families, ensuring the most fun, safe, and memorable experiences with friends new and old.

Depending on the day, Code Quest Tokyo campers may find themselves onsite focusing completely on tech lessons and STEM activities, offsite for a full day excursion around the city, or enjoying a mix of both lessons and excursions in the same day!

Where do I drop off and pick up my kid(s)?

Pick up and drop off will be at Tokyo Coding Club Nishi-Azabu (6th Floor), with easy access from the Oedo, Hibiya, and Chiyoda Lines. The final schedule with exact timing will be detailed in our official parent guide sent out within a few weeks of the start of camp.

What safety precautions do you have in place?

Safety is our highest priority. Our staff are trained in basic first aid, and closely supervise campers throughout the entire day, including during excursions and offsite activities. We maintain small staff-to-camper ratios and conduct regular head counts during both onsite and offsite activities. The logistics for every offsite excursion are carefully planned to ensure campers remain safe, accounted for, and together as a group.

How do I confirm my child’s camp registration?

Use the form on this page for a quick, easy registration! After registration, please view the confirmation email sent within 48 hours for information on secure credit card payment. Note: payment is required to finalize your child’s registration for this camp. Spots are limited and most families finalize their child’s registration far in advance of the camp.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes! If you are unable to attend the camp as intended, we provide 100% free cancellation up to 4 weeks before the camp starts, or 50% back up to 2 weeks before day 1. Book with confidence!

Are there any language requirements for the camp?

Code Quest camps are held in English, meaning Japanese language skills are not required. Native English is also not required – our campers have a range of English levels, including native and non-native speakers. If your child can at least understand simple instructions in English, they are welcome to join our camps.

My child has dietary restrictions. Can they still participate?

Absolutely! Please list any dietary needs or restrictions in the registration form and we will gladly accommodate. Our camp meals avoid common allergens, and are 100% peanut free. Menus vary each week, but may include Japanese or Western style bento, food from local restaurants, and more. If your child has specific preferences or is a particularly selective eater, you are also welcome to pack a lunch for them. 

What does a typical day at camp look like?

Each day includes a balance of technology lessons, outdoor play, local excursions, and time to socialize with friends. Campers may spend the morning working on coding, game development, robotics, or digital design projects before heading out for an afternoon activity or excursion. Every day is different, giving campers a fun mix of learning and adventure.

What should my child bring to camp?

We recommend bringing a water bottle and comfortable clothing / walking shoes. Everything else, including tech equipment, learning materials, transportation, lunch, and activity supplies is provided.

Do campers need to bring spending money?

No. Camp tuition includes transportation, admission fees, meals, drinks, and scheduled activities, so there is no need to bring cash. If your child would like to purchase optional souvenirs during certain excursions, they are welcome to bring up to 2,000 JPY cash.

Will I receive updates on what my child learned?

Yes! Throughout the week, parents receive photo updates and written summaries of camp lessons and activities. Campers may also complete technology projects that they can continue working on after camp. We strive to give families insight into both the fun experiences and the new skills their child developed during the week.

Will my child make friends if they come alone?

Absolutely! Many campers attend on their own and quickly make new friends through our collaborative projects, games, and group activities. Our staff actively encourages teamwork and helps campers feel included from their very first day.
